第三届蓝毗尼国际和平马拉松赛成功举办 The 3rd Lumbini International Peace Marathon Successfully Held

3月22日，由中国驻尼泊尔使馆、尼泊尔文化、旅游和民航部、尼泊尔旅游委员会、尼泊尔奥林匹克委员会、蓝毗尼开发委员会、中华寺等联合主办的蓝毗尼国际和平马拉松正式开赛。中国驻尼大使陈松、尼奥委会主席吉万·施雷斯塔等出席。作为第二届蓝毗尼国际和平节系列活动之一，此次蓝毗尼国际和平马拉松赛程共有来自中国、尼泊尔、肯尼亚等国家的500余名专业运动员、学生及公众参与，其中不乏专程从中国赶来的长跑爱好者。 赛事延续传统设置42公里男子全马专业赛、21公里女子半马专业赛、5公里公众跑和学生跑及3公里和平行四个组别。清晨7时，陈松大使鸣枪发令，比赛正式开始。现场人头攒动，欢呼声此起彼伏，热闹纷呈。蓝毗尼当地群众驻足赛道沿线，为选手们助力呐喊。陈松大使和吉万·施雷斯塔主席一起参加了3公里和平行，为运动健儿鼓气助威，为世界和平与发展而前行。

On March 22, the Lumbini International Peace Marathon officially kicked off, co-hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Nepal, the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal, the Nepal Tourism Board, the Nepal Olympic Committee, the Lumbini Development Trust, and the Zhonghua Temple. Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Chen Song and President of the Nepal Olympic Committee Jeevan Ram Shrestha attended the event.

As part of the second Lumbini International Peace Festival, the marathon attracted over 500 participants, including professional athletes, students, and the general public from countries such as China, Nepal, and Kenya. Among them were long-distance running enthusiasts who had traveled all the way from China to take part in the event.

The race followed its traditional format, featuring a 42-kilometer full marathon for men, a 21-kilometer half marathon for women, a 5-kilometer public and student run, and a 3-kilometer Peace Run. At 7 a.m., Ambassador Chen Song fired the starting gun, officially launching the marathon. The atmosphere was electric, with cheering crowds lining the route and enthusiastic support from the local Lumbini community.

Ambassador Chen Song and President Jeevan Ram Shrestha also participated in the 3-kilometer Peace Run, joining athletes in a symbolic stride for peace and development across the world.

经过激烈角逐，尼泊尔选手Anish Thapa Magar以2:19:21成绩摘得男子全马桂冠，Santoshi Shrestha以1:20:50成绩荣膺女子半马冠军，彰显本土体育力量。

After an intense competition, Nepalese runner Anish Thapa Magar claimed the men’s full marathon title with a time of 2:19:21, while Santoshi Shrestha won the women’s half marathon with a time of 1:20:50, showcasing the strength of local athletics.

比赛结束后，陈松大使、吉万·施雷斯塔主席为获奖选手颁发奖牌、证书和奖金。

Following the race, Ambassador Chen Song and President Jeevan Ram Shrestha presented medals, certificates, and prize money to the winning athletes.

陈松大使强调，蓝毗尼国际和平马拉松赛已成为中尼人文交流与区域和平发展的重要平台，尼奥委会主席吉万·施雷斯塔表示将深化中尼“一带一路”体育合作，推动赛事国际化升级。

Ambassador Chen Song emphasized that the Lumbini International Peace Marathon has become an important platform for cultural exchanges between China and Nepal as well as for promoting regional peace and development. President of the Nepal Olympic Committee, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, stated that efforts will be made to deepen China-Nepal sports cooperation under the Belt and Road Initiative and to further internationalize and elevate the event.
